Joseph M. DeLorenzo Jr.
Mr. DeLorenzo is a graduate of Villanova University and the Delaware Law School of Widener University. Following an Internship with the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Mr. DeLorenzo joined the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecutor.
During his time as an Assistant Prosecutor, Mr. DeLorenzo was quickly promoted to the Trial Team where he successfully tried many criminal cases to conclusion, obtaining invaluable courtroom experience.
In 1990, Mr. DeLorenzo formed a Partnership with a prominent Criminal Defense Attorney where he further honed his trial skills and utilized his past criminal and trial litigation experience to excel in the areas of Criminal and Municipal Court Defense. A past recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Federal Income Taxation, Mr. DeLorenzo also quickly excelled in areas of finance and business and rapidly developed a Family Law and Domestic Violence practice where his skill set was most applicable.
In 1996, Mr. DeLorenzo established his own practice in Moorestown, concentrating primarily in the area of divorce and family law matters. Throughout his career, he has continued to serve clients with practical solutions, pre-trial negotiation and settlement skills, and successful judicial outcomes, when necessary. His established client base has continued to benefit from his breadth of knowledge and experience in many areas of the law, including Criminal Defense, Municipal Court and Domestic Violence matters, Real Estate matters, representation of juvenile defendants, as well as Personal Injury cases.
Mr. DeLorenzo is also very involved in his community, having served as a member of the Moorestown Township Zoning Board of Adjustment and presently as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Moorestown Community House. Over the past few years, he has committed additional time to the Community House serving as the Chair of the Building and Grounds Committee which has overseen the restoration and preservation of the Community House for generations to come.
Mr. DeLorenzo is a member or former member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Burlington County Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inns of Court. He also serves as a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist in Burlington and Camden Counties.
